I Hate Hot Weather

Notes: 1. This is not an ad. 2. This is a rant.

Okay, my family might be disappointed in how much my weather resistance have changed since I moved to Sweden, but I genuinely hate hot weather. I hated it back home, I hate it here in Sweden and will keep hating it until I die.

I lived in Sudan for about 24 years before moving to Sweden and back home the median temperature is around 35 degrees with fluctuations during autumn and winter but generally speaking, it's hot as hell for like 10 out of the 12 months. In Sweden, the median temperature is pretty low for the majority of the year with some spikes around Spring and Summer.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for people having their preferences and enjoying life in different ways and shapes, but I never understood why people like summer and warm weather. Like, what is there to like? The hot weather, the burning air, endless sweat? Or maybe the abundance of ice cream? I don't know and might never know, and it doesn't matter, I am not here to gate keep fun or judge people, just wondering.

It's later Spring here in Stockholm nowadays, and the temperatures are rising. I had a couple of really warm days this past week and my poor small fan doesn't seem to be keeping up with the temperatures, so I had to go out and buy a bigger fan or some air conditioning machine. I ended up getting the Clas Ohlson's Air Cooler (picture below) which is quite portable, includes fan and air conditioning functions, and reasonably silent.

Sitting in my living room, taking a break from studying for an upcoming AWS exam and writing this blog post to rant about how much I hate hot weather which isn't exactly an informative topic but hey, that's what rants are for, aren't they?
